A: Several reasons. Firstly, inherent in our instrument design was the idea that the simplest version would sound good, yet be very affordable. Making available affordable instruments is a way to create more music in the world, by making it easier for a musician to obtain an instrument. And creating more music in the world is the basic mission that we have chosen.
Further, our particular instrument is easy to modify, so people will. Hopefully, this might accelerate the evolution of instruments. Maybe ours, or maybe somebody else’s. But no matter whose instruments they are, triggering new and better instruments is a good thing, again creating more music in the world.
And as a practical matter, an organization has to have some source of funding in order to continue its work. What better way for us than to deal in instruments? That being so, why not create some great ones?
