Fabian plays the Mobius Megatar "ToneWeaver Banshee" model, with dual Bartolini active-circuit preamps, using our 'BassBottom' tuning, but with the Robert Fripp ‘New Standard Tuning’ on the melody strings.

Guitarist and sound designer born in Quito, Ecuador in 1973, he studied classical, jazz and rock guitar. In 1999 he went to Chile to be part of the Guitar Craft seminars directed by Robert Fripp, and he’s been using Fripp’s NST since then.

He worked with several pop/rock bands in Ecuador since 1990, but mostly he composes and does sound designing for films, video, tv commercials.

As part of a progressive experimental electronic rock band called "Taluego" and an electroacoustical project called "Pleroma", he uses the ToneWeaver Banshee and guitar- loops.

Here's what Fabian said, shortly after receiving his ToneWeaver --

“On Saturday I had my first performance with the ToneWeaver. I was invited to play a song in a contemporary dance show, so I decided to play with the Megatar. I rehearsed four chords and played an improvisation with a singer.

“It was amazing! I love the sound of it!! People were amazed looking and listening to the instrument, musicians went mad, some of them expressed a desire of purchasing a Megatar, too. The next show is on the 19th. I’ll keep you be informed. Meanwhile, I`ll keep learning!”
