Ernie plays two Megatar instruments! First, the ToneWeaver 'Prime' (which he has named 'Marley'). The ToneWeaver uses Novak fanned-frets to attain the deepest possible lows and the most focussed clear high notes. Marley features quad Bartolini pickups (switch selectable) and optional black hardware. Secondly he plays a Bi-Melody tuned 'Dragon Gold'.
Ernie Jackson is a well known figure in the world of rock and funk. An ambassador for Sibellius notation software, and the author of 'FingerStyle Funk', a two CD learning method with 40 video lessons from a true funk-meister. Designed for six-string guitar, Ernie (aka 'Jamsire Ernoir') shows how to create some insane grooves, layer chords over the groove, and play a melody over the top â€" and play it all at the same time.
If you think that's impressive, listen to him funk out using two-handed touch-style on his ToneWeaver Prime and Dragon Gold!
Jackson combines classical training with the rhythmic feel of funk and rap. He's the author of 'The Music of Justin Holland,' a study of the 19th century classical guitar master published by Cherry Lane music. Jackson has recorded on the CD's 'Burnin' and 'Notes from the Underground, volume one'.
Jackson created the two studio recordings below with Native Instruments’ ‘Guitar Rig’ and ‘Reaktor’ software, using a drum machine, voice samples, and Mobius Megatar instruments. The synth sounds and horns and string pads? Nope. Mobius ToneWeaver and Dragon Gold only.
He currently plays and teaches in New York
