Knowing where the notes are just got easier!

  • Mobius Megatar has made a change in the 'dot-marker' system. Dot-markers seen on guitars nowadays were not always so standard. Guitars of years ago had dot markers placed differently. You will also find many variations on mandolins, and on ethnic fretted instruments from the 17th and 18th centuries.

  • Two-handed tappers have an increased need to relate the notes beneath the fingers of one hand with notes beneath the fingers of the other hand. So Mobius Megatar has taken a page from history and used a dot marker system which is *almost* the standard guitar fretboard, with one tiny exception.

  • This one exception gives you a simple way to relate your two hands. Lay your hands on the same dot-markers on each side of the instrument, and the notes beneath your fingers have the exact same letter names!

  • For example, the notes beneath your right-hand playing melody just above fret twelve are *identical* to the notes beneath your left-hand playing bass just above fret two!

  • The system works similarly with a bass-tuned megatar in fourths, a megatar tuned with inverted fifths, or with the 'bi-melody' tuning.

  • This unique dot-marker system is fully explained in your free method book, included with every instrument.
