Factory Reinstallation of Buzz Feiten Intonation System (if it's been messed up by someone ... we're not naming names!) The Buzz Feiten Intonation system produces "Exceptionally Pleasing Intonation." That means your instrument sounds more in tune, and that sounds good! Mobius has licensed this system from the Feiten company. The system consists of specific offsets for the zero-fret and for each of the bridge saddles -- completely different from normal industry practice. It takes more time, and very careful work, getting each saddle adjusted, right down to a tenth of a cent in most cases. And the result? It plays more sweetly, more 'in tune' than any instrument done in the standard way. Yes, it takes longer, but it's worth the time.
Parts for Guitar-Builders: Custom Nested Concentric Tone/Volume Potentiometers, (set of 2) Each of these custom-made 'pots' features dual 500K potentiometers, with custom logarithmic resistance curves -- the 'inner' pot is optimized for adjusting volume, and the 'outer' pot is optimized for adjusting tone. Pot set comes with your choice of chrome or gold-colored premium metal knobs. Parts come unwired and ready to install, and capacitors included suitable for melody and bass tone adjustment. This set is for guitar-builders; these types of custom components are generally unavailable through normal channels.
Parts for Guitar-Builders: 12-Tone Bridge Platelles, (set of 12) Custom bridge plate set, your choice of polished brass or polished chrome, comes with your choice of Graph Tech Tusq (blonde) or String Saver (black) custom saddles.
Included are black hex-head cap screws (available in several lengths) and tensioning springs. Saddles come with height-adjuster set-screws and are custom-milled to accept black cap screw. This set is for guitar-builders; this type of individual bridge plate is generally unavailable through normal channels. In the picture above you can get an idea of relative colors and textures. In the picture below, you can see how they look after you've installed them!
The specific benefit of individual bridge plates is that the vibrations of one string do not propagate into other vibrating strings. This reduces interference vibrations in every string. By allowing each string to sing on its own, you hear a distinctive clarity not otherwise available; this is especially noticeable when playing chords.
