Want a fast and entertaining overview about two-handed tapping?

"Mobius Touch-Style Slideshow"

When Mobius Megatar gives public talks or exhibits at trade shows, we often use a slideshow we've designed to provide an overview about how two-handed, and 'Rhythm Bass' are done, and about our offerings in instruments, instructional materials, and accessories can be used to expand your musical career.

The slideshow provides a quick overview which includes: What is Touch-Style? What is a 'Megatar' type of bass? How did touch-style evolve? What are the Mobius Megatar bass models currently available? (with photos!) What is unique about Mobius Megatar tapping basses? What is the 'Novak Fanned Fret' system? What is the 'Buzz Feiten Intonation System'?

Caution! A slideshow over the internet generally can require a fast connection, because each slide can be up to a quarter meg in size. (Of course, you can cheat by running it once, and then watching it the second time, when your browser is just reloading slides from its cache.)

(In order to keep page size down and make the slide show run nicely, this slideshow is optimized for Microsoft's Internet Explorer version 4 or better. If you do not have this browser, and you cannot view this slideshow, please let us know as we're considering loading an alternate version which will work in Netscape and other browsers in a more generic fashion.)

Music Lessons in method books and newletters produced by Mobius Megatar convey musical information about the 'touch-style' method of two-handed tapping for playing electric guitars and electric basses, originally invented in the 1950's by Jimmie Webster and Dave Bunker, and refined by many musicians ever since. See 'History of Touch-Style' on our website for more information. Method books and newsletters produced by Mobius Megatar convey musical instruction which is applicable to two-handed tapping on multi-stringed guitars and basses, and on megatars (instruments containing a set of strings for bass and a set of strings for melody) tuned in fourths, and for megatars whose bass is tuned in inverted fifths. The 'Easy Touch-Style Bassics' method teaches one method which works on differently-tuned instruments.
